“In the high school that I went to, they had what they call a medical magnet program. It was a program to start exposing students to different areas of careers, and this particular program had three tracks: dental, allied health, and nursing. I enrolled in a four-year program. During the first part of our day, we would do regular coursework - math, English, social studies, all that stuff - and then everything after lunch was geared toward whatever track we were on. That was my first exposure to nursing, and I was like, “I think I like this.”

After experiencing subpar healthcare outcomes as a child from encounters with the healthcare system, Dr. Nicole Thomas made it her life’s mission to utilize her clinical knowledge and expertise to positively impact the lives of all receipts of the healthcare system.
