An exclusive interview

How nurses can live a life of leadership

“I am one of those people - one of those nurses who always thought they wanted to be a nurse. I was a little girl, and my parents had some friends come over and they brought over little kids - I probably was about six. The smaller children are 2-years-old or so and were not feeling well. That was the first time I remember having an overwhelming desire to take care of someone and help heal them and make them feel better. Ever since then I wanted to be a nurse, and there was going to be no stopping me.”
