A: False, I used to think this was true, but with time, the profession has adapted and evolved.

Q: What is your specialty and where are you based?

A: Infection Prevention in Southern California.

Q: Any self care or mental health tips for new nurses?

A: Give yourself time - time to learn, time to acquire skills and experience, time to gain insight and knowledge. A nursing career is a marathon, not a sprint.

Q: What would you say is the single biggest challenge nurses face today?

A: Burn out.
