Ryann Mason, BSN, RN: “Nurse on wheels,” disability advocate, trauma & postpartum nurse

“I never expected to be a disability advocate - I didn't even think of myself as disabled until a few years ago - but suddenly I was in the middle of it before I knew any better and I absolutely love it.”

NP Jamie Smith sat down (well, virtually) with the incredible Ryann Mason. You may know her as @chronically_ry on socials or maybe as Ms. Wheelchair Virginia 2020 & 2021. We know - #epic. Ryann was diagnosed with Ehler’s Danlos Syndrome in her teens and now frequently uses a wheelchair - she’s the nurse on wheels! She’s a nurse, sex educator, former EMT, athlete, and advocate. Her sense of humor and warm spirit shines through in this interview.
